What are Beard Oils?

‘Tis the cure oil - that cures all!’

What do beard oils do?
Beard Oils act as a leave-in conditioner for your beard, and more importantly, the skin beneath it. Everyone’s skin produces a natural oil called sebum, and sebum is critical for your beard's overall health, condition, and appearance. However, sebum gets stripped away in the shower from harsh detergents found in ordinary soaps. Beard Oils help replicate that oil and prevent your beard from becoming dry, brittle, and wiry while adding fragrance and a light shine.

How do beard oils work?
Beard Oil, similar to skin lotion, is able to penetrate the beard's outer layer of skin and hair. It provides a lubricating, moisturizing, conditioning effect that keeps it healthy and hydrated. The natural oils in Beard Oil allow it to provide serious nourishment and hydrating qualities that counter the effects of extended shaves or harsh environments.

No more ‘Beardruff’! Stoping the beard itch.
We all know about dandruff and your beard isn’t exempt from getting it. ‘Beardruff’, is a sign that the skin under your beard is dry and is a sign that the skin under your beard needs some TLC. Itchiness is one of the leading causes of why beards are removed. The biggest problem that causes itchiness is dry skin which sets in as soon as you start growing your beard. The itching and irritation can be bad enough to lead a person to abandon facial hair altogether. Scalp irritation, dandruff and rashes can intensify this itchiness which is where Beard Oil comes in providing the TLC that your skin needs in growing that Luscious facial hair.

Ingredients in our Beard Oil and what they do:

Argan oil: It penetrates the follicle softening and rejuvenating the hair, helping to strengthen the shaft and prevent split ends.

Sweet almond oil: soothes and softens skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, scar tissue, and rashes, eliminating razor burn. Both these oils are naturally anti-bacterial reducing the incidence of pimples and acne.

Jojoba oil: The closest natural substance to the body’s own natural oil, or sebum, which cleans out the pores, penetrates the root of the hair and optimises conditions for hair growth.

Vitamin E oil: Helps to repair any damage to skin and hair further nourishing and allowing your skin and beard to look it’s absolute best.

These 4 oils are used for the base of our blend of Beard Oil, we then add our unique essential oils for their scent and natural astringent and antibacterial and antifungal qualities make for the perfect blend of Lambert’s Luscious Beard Oil.

How much should I apply?
It's a personal thing you know, but normally anywhere between a tiny drop and a tiny spoonful should do the trick. Luscious enthusiasts will turn the bottle upside down and let the oil drip 4-6 times into the palm before applying it to their beard.

How to use beard oil?
To use you simply massage the oil into the beard starting at the top and working it down to the bottom, work in smaller sections to get the best results. Really work it into areas that are stubborn or feel most irritant, as it is important to work the oils all the way down to the skin. Once you have fully worked the oil in you can then go on to shape/style your beard how it pleases you.
